You May Be Driving One of 60+ Million
Vehicles With A Deadly Explosive Airbag.
Takata airbags have KILLED 24 people and left over 300 more PERMANENTLY MAIMED OR DISFIGURED by the explosive shrapnel from a defective airbag's deployment. Don't let this happen to you or your friends and loved ones!
Please visit https://motorsafety.org to check your vehicle and urge everyone you know to do the same. Every car owner must determine if their vehicle has a deadly airbag in need of repair.
If you are driving or riding in one of the 60+ million affected vehicles please use https://motorsafety.org to find the nearest authorized service center for your make and schedule your FREE repair TODAY!
Unfortunately with 14 OEMs/Manufacturers and 29 different brands of automobiles affected in the U.S. alone, with model years ranging all the way back to 2002 thru current year (2019) vehicles coming off production lines today, this is not a recall problem we'll see going away anytime soon. And literally anyone may be affected by this recall because it spans so many years, makes, and models. Please make sure to check your specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at https://motorsafety.org to find out if your vehicle is affected and identify the nearest dealer to which you may bring your vehicle for its FREE repair. Older model years are even more susceptible to explosive shrapnel, so don't wait any longer as the more time that goes by the more likely you are to end up in a catastrophe yourself. And keep in mind that due to the nature of this recall it is even possible that you may need to bring your car in to be repaired for a second or even a third time down the road or in a few years as the replacement airbags being used to repair some vehicles may themselves also become defective in the future. Be sure to ask your repair technician if you are getting a permanent replacement or if the airbag being used to make your repair may also need to be replaced at some point in the future (typical airbag safe operation lifespan is 4-8 years, high-humidity climates accelerate degradation).
Luckily the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) which is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is also leading the charge to spread the word and help drivers and passengers determine if their vehicles are affected and where they can go to receive FREE repairs. And they continually publish an extensive amount of up-to-date information on the Takata Airbag Recall in a dedicated section of their website at safercar.gov
Help us spread the word both online and offline from social media to your real life friends and family.
